After my good finish at Galway CIC3*, making the trek east to New Jersey for the CCI3* seemed like the next logical step. Unfortunately, these trips do not pay for themselves, so something had to sell.

On Friday evening, Puzzle and Karyn fly from SEATTLE to Newark, NJ, arriving Saturday afternoon after a layover on Oakland, CA Friday night. They will then travel to Fair Hill, Maryland to stay with my ‘Maryland Mom’ for a few days.

Long overdue… After our stellar CCI2* finish in early November, Puzzle and I looked forward to 2008 with anticipation. In late November, we had a David O’Connor clinic to ride in. On the way to the clinic, disaster struck.

Yes, you read that correctly; SIXTH trip to CA for team 3 DAZE in 2007. Not to mention the ‘quick’ side trip to Michigan in August, a mere 2,500 miles away! Black Beauty and the I-5 are on a first name basis, clearly.
