Competition Experience

2007

Chelan travels four times to California in the quest to qualify for Beijing . Tasman Sea proves worthy of the trips by placing 5th at the CCI ** in Twin Rivers , and 7th in his second Advanced outing at Woodside CA. Plans continue for 2007 to include the FairHill CCI *** in Maryland in October.
Higher Ground places in the CCI * and at INT horse trials.
Silhouette continues to shine in the preliminary division.

2006

Chelan continued her career with the talented Silhouette and Flying Colours at the preliminary level. Both horses showed tremendous talent at the young age of five. Tasman Sea is purchased for Chelan by a family friend. They embark on the journey together, placing well at the Intermediate and CCI* level.

2005

Chelan’s two youngest horse stars, Flying Colours and Silhouette, were both on target at the Pre-Training level, with both horses notching up wins and placing at a number of key events in the Lower Mainland. Throughout the winter months, Chelan was actively training both horses to prepare them for a level upgrade to Training in early spring 2006, with the goal of competing in Temecula, California in March, 2006.

2004

A rebuilding year for Chelan, who chose to sell her Advanced level horse, Rhodes Scholar. Chelan also worked with several of her lower-level horses to prepare them for sale. In the fall and winter of 2004 Chelan acquired the newest and youngest additions to her talented horse team – Flying Colours and Silhouette – with the goal of actively training them for competition.

2000/2001

The 2001 season found Chelan as the high point rider for BC with Duchess of Clayburn claiming top honours as the BC Preliminary Champion and the high point Preliminary horse in BC. Rhodes Scholar in his first year of Eventing with Chelan logged several placings.
